We finally managed. Going towards November 2020 seemed to me to be an eternity for several reasons. After 7 years, we are finally at the exit of the next generation of console games, with the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X (read our practices here). Although some games have been excluded from November, such as CyberPunk 2077, players will have the choice between a wide variety of games.

Top 10 NEW Games of November 2020

Although it does not feel, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (read our preview here) is the first Assassin’s Creed game from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at the end of 2018. Once again, Ubisoft changes the game decor, putting players in the role a raider viking in the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms. Always a game in open world, the Valhalla formula looks like that of the Assassin’s Creed contemporary games, with a hint of RPG mechanics. If you played the series recently, you know what to expect. A significant change regarding the AC formula is that the game has replaced traditional secondary quests with global events, and we are very happy to see how it works.

Godfall is an action-RPG that could be better described as a slash loader with a play loop that involves body-to-body fights, the equipment upgrade and start again. Self-described as a “DIY DREAM”, we can certainly understand why based on what we have seen from the progression system. On top of that, the game looks at a good time, with the ability to play with others in a drop-in cooperative mode. Although the PS5 be launched with some other great games, Godfall could be struck in November.

Launched alongside the Xbox Series X (as well as PCs, PS4 and Xbox One), Yakuza: Like A Dragon (Read our preview here) Changes things for the last game of the series. In addition to presenting a protagonist not named Kazuma Kiryu, Yakuza: Like A Dragon takes his fighting system in turn. In parallel with this turn-based combat system, there is a work system, making Yakuza: Like A Dragon one of this year’s most interesting RPGs. We look forward to spending a yakuza match away from Kabukicho, at least most of the time.
