Our mobile selection of the week: Knotwords, the return of loved letters

You know my love for Zach Gage. Nope ? Spelltower , Typehift , Pocket-Run Pool , Good sudoku or, my bedside game, solitary flipflop ? It has been more than ten years that the guy charges my iphone of devilishly clever games and often designed with an insolent science of detail, even in the interfaces and the sound design. It is a regular at Pas aside: Take a concept or a type of game well known to reshuffle it and bring him a little twist which completely transforms the gaming experience. I therefore keep each of his movements eagerly and I have Obviously jumped on the App Store last week when I learned the release of Knotwords.

Knotwords Trailer

Once again, Zach combined with his friend Jack Schlesinger to concoct a gaming game which, in a sense, is perfectly part of the current zeitgeist, captured by Wordle and his countless declinations (we were doing The turn a month ago). In its main mode, Knotwords puts us in front of a small grid in the crossword or slam. It must of course fill it with words in English, but with a size constraint: said grid is divided into small blocks of (generally) three or four boxes imposing letters to use. It is therefore necessary to do a lot of mini sessions of Scrabble in your head to find the right combinations, knowing that the blocks in question are arranged in a deceitful, nested so that they allow to compose different words of the grid. It’s clear ? Bof?

Zelda BotW 2-trailer solves wild fan speculation around Zelda as a Ki

With a tiny small teaser trailer, Nintendo-Producer Eiji Aonuma announced that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will no longer appear in 2022. Switch continuation was now postponed to the spring 2023. The reason for this called that they want to take more time with development.

Furthermore, Aonuma mentions that there will be new gameplay elements. Which ones are in detail, he did not call. But a Findiger Tloz fan has taken care of a little more detail in the trailer and discovering a potentially decisive detail that indicates a new gameplay element.

Zelda as a constant companion

What hides in the trailer? In the trailer there is a place in which link interacts with a kind of light ball. This light came known Twitter-User F0Reverart1stic, because the light was already in the first Botw to see:

Breath of the Wild 2 Delay & New Teaser Trailer Analysis (Zelda)

What is that for a light ? Maybe it could be the light ball around Princess Zelda, the link is now serving on his travels as a Ki companion. Already in the boss fight of the first part, Princess Zelda appeared as a mysterious light ball and spoke to link, which is an indication of this ability. In a clip, the user shows how Zelda in Breath of the Wild transitions from this light ball into their awakened form.

In addition, the light ball seems to merge in any form with the master sword, as seen in the subsequent scene. So it would be possible that Princess Zelda accompanied in the second BOTW part of link on his travels to repair the master sword.

You want to play yourself detective? Then look at the following trailer for yourself:

Possible connection to Skyward Sword

What else could be? Another user speculates that the light ball rather about a flame that occurred in Skyward Sword. Due to the flame, the master sword was forged, which is why it may be possible to ensure the same flame for repairing the destroyed master’s die. A compound see the commenters through the sky islands that should give it in BOTW 2.

In Zelda: BOTW broke only normal weapons, in BOTW 2 even the master sword

However, if the light ball should be Princess Zelda, the question remains open whether she will be a playable character in BotW 2. It would be conceivable that Zelda only acts as a companion in light ball form and can not be controlled even.

But as in all, what has not yet been officially confirmed, we should enjoy these theories with caution. For everything else we already know of BOTW 2, there is our master sword overview.

What do you think: what could be on mysterious light?
